69th Annual General Meeting: Your Voice, Your Co-op

We're excited to invite all Tofino Co-op members to our 69th Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Director Election! This is your opportunity to participate in the democratic process that keeps our community-owned Co-op strong and responsive to member needs.

Meeting Details

When: Wednesday, June 25th, 2025 at 7:30 PM (doors open at 7:00 PM)
Where: Upstairs at the Royal Canadian Legion

Director Elections

We have 3 director positions up for election at this year's AGM, each for a 3-year term. If you're passionate about serving your community and helping guide the future of Tofino Co-op, we encourage you to consider running!

How to Become a Director Candidate

Nomination Packages Available: Starting Wednesday, May 28th, 2025
Pick-up Location: Administration office at 140 First Street
Nomination Deadline: Wednesday, June 11th, 2025 by 4:00 PM

Important Requirements

Candidates must meet the criteria outlined in Rule #76 of the Tofino Consumers Co-operative Association Rules and Regulations (this information is included in the nomination package)

All candidates must provide a one-page bio to be included in AGM information packages to assist members with voting

All director nominations must be submitted to Tofino Co-op Administration by the deadline

Nominations will not be accepted from the floor at the Annual General Meeting (per Rule #79)

Advance Voting Made Easy

We've made participating in the democratic process convenient for all members:

Advance Voting Period: Wednesday, June 18th to Wednesday, June 25th, 2025
Voting Closes: 4:00 PM on June 25th, 2025

Starting June 18th, members can pick up their advance voting and information packets from our Administration office. You can vote by secret ballot for the 3 directors while you shop - making it easy to participate in this important process.

Voting Requirements

Please remember that proxy votes are not allowed. The vote must be cast by the individual registered with the membership.

Your Annual General Meeting is where democracy happens at Tofino Co-op. Whether you attend in person or vote in advance, your participation helps ensure our Co-op continues to serve our community's needs and values.
