In June 2017, Tergeo Holdings Limited, George Smith, and Terry Smith sued the Tofino Co-op, Sandy Bradshaw and his company, Triple-Mar Enterprises Ltd. The Co-op was accused of intentionally and illegally causing damage to the Smiths and their business when it entered into an option to purchase the land and building at 360 Campbell Street from Triple-Mar Enterprises.

The Co-op vigorously denied those claims and defended against them as baseless and lacking in merit. The plaintiffs have now withdrawn all their claims against the Co-op. The Co-op neither settled nor compromised its position to reach this point.

The Co-op will continue involvement in the lawsuit between Tergeo and Triple-Mar, as certain matters in the suit effect the interests of the Co-op.

As always, we shall continue our use of careful, honest, and fair business practices to promote the best interests of our membership.
