What Is a Co-op?

Tofino Co-op is owned by its members, not outside shareholders. Our profits don't leave town. They come back to you and get reinvested right here in the community we all share.

Cash Back and Equity

Annual Equity Cheques

Cash back and equity are paid out to members during Co-op Week each October. Keep an eye on your mailbox.

Your Vote at the AGM

As a member-owner, you're invited to the Annual General Meeting each year. Hear about Co-op performance, meet your Board, ask questions, and vote on decisions that shape your Co-op's future. It's your store... you get a say in how it runs.

We Give Back

In 2024, your Co-op donated $80,000 to local charities, clubs, and community groups. That includes $10,000 to Tofino General Hospital, $10,000 to the Clayoquot Community Theatre, $5,000 to the Raincoast Education Society, and over $15,000 raised for the USS Library. We also provided scholarships to local graduates and sponsored kids to attend summer camps.

When Tofino Co-op does well, Tofino does well.
