Hardware Supervisor
As a Hardware Supervisor with the Tofino Co-op, you will support the Manager with the day- to-day operations of the department in providing quality service. The Supervisor is responsible for coaching, training and leading team members while making safety a top priority in carrying out daily job duties.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Supervise, train, resolve conflicts and coach team members
• Assist in organizing, directing and coordinating department activities and operations
• Assist in managing department inventory and staff scheduling
• Ensure completion of orders as directed
• Ensure that shelves are well stocked, and all areas are kept clean
• Ensure that safety guidelines are properly implemented and followed, PPE is worn and available
• Process invoices and ensure receiving book is kept up to date
• Provide excellent customer service and customer service resolution to guests in a courteous, efficient manner and within approved programs, policies and procedures
• Contribute to leading and inspiring the team to excellence
• Deliver brand promise and guest services, ensuring the feel of “You’re at home here”
Work closely with Management and other support team members to successfully execute programs
Qualifications:
• A secondary school diploma is preferred
• Minimum two years supervisory experience preferred, ideally in Hardware or other retail
• Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills
Ability to meet multiple demands, work under pressure and meet deadlines
Working Conditions:
• Flexible - must be willing to work a variety of hours, including weekends and holidays based on the business needs
Physical Requirements:
• Constant standing and walking throughout shift for up to 8 hours
• Physically demanding; frequent lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs
• Kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
• Occasional ascending or descending stairs
