Training and career development

Tofino Co-op supports team members’ professional growth, development and success. Through experience and internal and external training opportunities, team members can advance to positions of greater responsibility.

Training seminars and programs are available to team members at all levels. Internal programs include:

Student programs

Summer employment and co-operative education placements give students in diploma or degree programs opportunities to develop their skills and prepare for future careers.

Management programs

Mentorship, training seminars and hands-on experience help team members develop the skills to manage a department or an entire co-operative association.

Education assistance

To help reach their career and educational goals, team members may qualify to have 75 per cent of their tuition reimbursed upon successful completion of an approved program.
